This is how it sounded just wired and strung. No intonation yet, no nothing, the very first sounds this instrument made.
Bear decided to take this early Goose protoype out for a spin the other day. This was a little test he did before taking off to the gig. The guitar body is mahogany, the neck is maple, and the mystery humbucker pickups are from MJ at the Seymour Duncan custom shop.
Nicknamed Grandpa's Gold for the gold detail at top left, this Goose is in the capable hands of Ruben Lee Dalton, Buellton poet, songwriter, and classic rock and roller. The gold dust used to fill the knot came down from Greg's grandpa, who taught him woodworking from childhood. Besides being exceptional musical instruments, Greg's work is imbued with some special magic.
This instrumental track features two of Greg Erickson's baritone guitars played by Michael on Fire and Bear Erickson.
